Default Crankshaft grinding
Just kind of wondering what the going rate is to have a crankshaft ground in your area? There is only one outfit here in Central NY that I am aware of that will grind a Kohler crank. I have been dealing with this same guy for the past 30 yrs and his work is top notch. I am curious as to what other machine shops are charging.

I had a crank turned a few years back and checked with two shops , one charged $65.00 and the other charged $50.00.

It was the same price from both shops for boring the cylinder.

If I only take one in, it's like $50 or $55. The more I take in at once, the better the deal. I think I paid $35/ crank when I took in 6.

I just paid $42 a piece to have two ground. Seems like it's about the going rate.
