No, it's like a 582 with a 10hp single cylinder. The sleeve hitch mounts up like it would on any other '82 series tractor. To put a sleeve hitch on a 582S, you have to have the hard to find lower bracket/plate. I think I saw one on ihccwh.com.
EDIT: Just looked, he has one. $140 |

Ok cool. I have all the pieces to mount my sleeve hitch. I was just curious if they were similar. Thank you.
I bought mine from our friend master Lew.

Here's the link to the thread where I built my adapter/tiller quick mount. It's on the 1811 in the pics, but I moved it over to the 1050 last year. Lower sleeve hitch just bolts to the plate. It has to be removed to put the tiller on, but hey, it's 3 bolts, and the nuts are welded on the back, so it's pretty easy. I'm happy with it. I can switch from the plow to the tiller in about 5-7 min. Even though it's easy, it's still not as easy as swapping implements on a 3pt.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
