Hi John. yeah we get deere and toros and new cubs over here but the main ones we have are Victa, Rover, Greenfield, Cox and a few other small companies most are now overseas owned and run Briggs engines aswell as Honda engines in most.
Update on my 1000, haven`t had the time to investigate further due to Holidays and Health issues but front PTO and Clutch aren`t the issue. Checking Starter next when I get a chance..

Just a quick update. Well with clutch,pto and starter removed was still locked up pretty tight but with a breaker bar and a bit of rocking have managed to get the engine to turn over, after quite a few revolutions it is freeing up to the point with the spark plug out it feels about normal. So to my way of thinking i would have to say i have done the bottom end bearings so rebuild is still on the cards but more investigation is on the way. Time to start posting in the engine section from here on in i think..
