Default QA42A and the newspaper

Howdy all,
So I was very excited to use my new snow thrower that I got for my 1650. I did my driveway and I was in the zone so I decided to do the neighbors driveway and that turned out to be a mistake. I sucked up his Sunday newspaper and it jammed the thrower it took me a long time to get it out I had to use my oscillating tool to cut it out before I could get it free.
Just for talk has anyone else run in to this and how did you get the paper/ object out.

Never done it myself, but I've seen guys run over extension cords and I imagine they are a mess to get unwound.

Ya gotta use the proper tool, you should have been using a shredder instead of a snow blower. Just busting. I've had sticks and braches stuck in a walk behind that cleaned out the shear pins.

Not snow blowers but combines. We locked up the beater inside a 6620 Deere and had about as much luck using a small hand saw that I think was for drywall, only had about an 8" blade and was real coarse. In your case maybe a sawzall would have worked? Then again you are standing in water (melting snow) so maybe hand tools only, a tree pruning saw perhaps?

Lighter fluid and a match? ...probably not a real good idea, but it would work just way too dangerous....Never swallowed a paper with a thrower before, but I am glad that your neighbor's cat/dog wasn't out!

I got you all beat. About 10 years ago my wife tossed a Diaper Genie wad of dirty diapers out by the garbage can. well it snowed over night covering them up and when i got up the next day to snow blow i proceeded to shoot dirty diapers into the back yard!!! That was an interesting spring cleanup job, but my grass had never been greener! hahah

I think the story was shared on MTF in the "what have you wrecked today" thread.

There was a good size snow storm before the Super Bowl and the neighbor asked him to clear the driveway so everyone could get there to watch the game out in the garage /man cave.

He asked if the driveway was cleared of obstacles and he was assured it was. As he's doing his first pass, throwing snow into the next county, all of sudden he realizes the snow thrower/blower grabbed something.

Turned out it "ate" the coax cable and not only did it rip it out of the house shorting out the cable for the neighborhood, it also pulled the "too wide" wide screen TV out the door smashing it to smithereens.

It took hours to cut the cable off the auger.

This is hilarious! For those that have no idea what that was, remember the cartoons that had really long continuous rolls of link sausage, now imagine that with dirty diapers!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
