What's aggravating about this is, I went through this same exercise a year ago and this "shoulder" wasn't a problem. I bought a sack of ten bearings and a sack of #10 screws/nuts (for the idlers with rivets). Naturally, I put them where I could find them again and now I can't!

Thanks for the patience. Just took a day or so for the light bulb to come on.
Yep, that is the reducer I was mentioning above. 5/16 to 3/8 (I think but cant remember for sure) but it does have a shoulder. TB

Yep, buy a bunch, put them away in a safe place never to be found again. I think it's a conspiracy, I have the same problem.

X2 on the socket head bolt for the Vanguard starters.

it gets a LOT worse as the years roll by.
I can remember chit 50-60 years ago but can't remember what I had for B'fast or if I even remembered to eat it.

I've got so many "safe places" and places where "I'm sure to remember" that I can't find anydamnthing!

After I'm gone, my Daughter is sure to think, Wow, I didn't know he was that bad for THAT long.
