Default 107 pump in 129

Hey guys, new to the forum. I've just got a 107 that has an electric lift on it and also has a ported pump. I've done some research and found were people have swapped pumps on other cubs. I just wanted to get clarification on weather or not my 107 ported pump will be OK to swap to my 129. And if so does anyone have a valve body and cylinder and lines to put a hydraulic lift on my 129.

Thanks, Dylan.

Welcome to the forum!

If you would like to request a part for you machine, you need to run an ad in our "Wanted" section. You can find it here, in the Trading Post section. Please make sure to follow all rules.

As far as the pump goes, yes it will fit into a 129 as all hydros for the IH machines were the same except for that some are ported and some not. However, I am doubting that you have a ported pump on your 107 if it has electric lift unless it has already been swapped. If it has, then it should have had the pressure relief spring changed or removed, as you cannot just cap the ports and not use them. Hydraulics don't work like that. Point is, if it is capped off, it may be missing other necessary parts, or may have already damaged that pump. Hydraulic lift was not an option on the 107 and should never have had a ported pump. Perhaps you can post a pic of the pump so we could verify.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
