I used my finish line gun today, putting 2 gallons of Tsc majic paint through it while painting an old gravity wagon.

While the gun worked flawless, I had a problem using it around the supports/braces under the gravity wagon.
I knocked the dam push on cap off the cup twice, once spilling some paint on my tyvek suit/boot.
Me thinks I need a new cap, but prolly my old binks siphon feed would of been a better choice on the underside.

Same thing for welding, It's always a PITA to weld underside! The old Binks may have done a better job saving your boots because the cup lock but this shit overspray so much you may end up painting all you clothes if a little draft of wind catch you

Not my business but instead of buying a new cap why you don't convert the finish line to DeKup or a similar system and save yourself a lot of trouble?

PS: the turbine system may have been a good choice for painting outside if I can build one for cheap It could be a fun project

Got to spend some time painting with a SATA 5000 over the past two days and man is it sweet, I have about 12 sata 2000 and I'm sure I could sell you a few to help finance my new gun.

No need to had another coat! I know front the first row, my friend swear by them and his Iwata too but since it's my birthday present and I hate to take money from my kids I choose a affordable but still good gun.

Buying a used paint gun from a friend who take good care of it is something I can deal with, are you my friend Tim? LMAO

PS: I ear somewhere a member need a new suit/boot..... just an idea to help finance your new gun...

PS:Tim statement can be use as a good starting base but may not be appropriated to everyone, experience and personal preferences are different from one individual from another, in simple word...Find what's working for you.

I still use the 2000's daily, we send them to sata every couple of year to be rebuilt. I run a 1.3 for everything but primer and then I use a 1.4

I sprayed base with a 5000 hvlp and clear with a 5000 rp which stands for "reduced pressure" it uses a bit more pressure than an hvlp so it really atomizes the clear and make it lay like glass.
