Ok I must have the yellow fever as I jest got cub #2 home, so I have 2 machines that don't run.
My first is a 123 that I have been working on & off (more off then on) and today's is a I just don't know? The tag on the rear end has 2050039u376319 on it. This is all that I can find for info on it so far, it was a puller project that the P/O died before he got it running, I wanted it for the four new tires and wheels and other parts, the rear tires are 23X10,5-12 NHS. I gave less then $200.00 for it with the snowmobile engine and 90deg gearbox setting in/on the frame. I will try to post some photos once I get done with the wife's to do list . I don't know how this stands in the way of a good deal but I am happy with it. More to come as I have time. Joe |

Well.... lets hope that the PO didn't hack it up too much. At least the rear end tag says it's a 126. The third most rare Cub Cadet. Post some pics and we'll see what you got. If it isn't hacked up too bad, you got a decent deal. I'd rebuilt that machine over the 123.

If YOU are happy then it is certainly a great deal. Of Course the official OCC response is "Pics or it didn't happen!" so please post some pictures.

That's just my frazzled mind after a day working on the 124. Broke a bolt off and couldn't get it out. Had to drill and re tap.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
