Default Valspar paints?

My local Farm Family store carries it. I've sprayed it both with rattle can and gun, with good success. I did a boat trailer about six years ago and it has held up very well, even being parked outdoors all the time.
When I used a gun to paint the trailer, I used all Valspar products, reducer, hardener, etc. and followed the directions on the can for mix ratio. If I had any complaint it would be that the paint has a strong odor, and the drying times are a bit longer than a normal automotive type paint. Take care to let the paint tack up quite a bit before a second or additional coat. The paint is dry to the touch, but remains somewhat soft for several days so careful assembly of painted parts is needed. Bottom line is that I would recommend the product and will use it again in the future.

good to hear, but im not seeing cub cadet yellow in a qt or gallon form?? any ideas? industrial yellow?

The case/in paint is valspar and sprays very well, I would not hesitate to recommend it.

Unless Case IH changed who makes their paints, I never liked their paint. Sprayed good, but faded bad after 5 years or so.

Never had bad luck with DuPont......

Ive never had bad luck when i let someone else who knows what they are doing paint my stuff. But, I buy the paint from cub cadet.

See, during WW2, there was an extreme shortage of cub cadet yellow. It was literally impossible to find. The price now still reflects the supply vs demand gap that many unfortunate individuals faced at that time.

Jon, what did you use for reducer and hardener?
Ah, yeah Dupont is good, also a whole lot more money I would guess. I can't comment on what the Case/IH paint will look like in five years, but I know the tractor I painted with the Case/IH paint will look as good twenty years from now.

I use Wet Look hardener and whatever the can says to use for reducer.

Only time I ever use OEM paint is when someone demanded it and I couldn't change their mind. Otherwise I'm a DuPont or Nason (DuPont's cheaper line) user. Never had bad luck with that paint, and shines for years. Use the same hardener in them also. I've shot base/clear, Urethane and Acrylic. Depending on what I'm painting I go with the best for the application. Even shot clear over Acrylic and Urethane just to make it shine and for UV protection. I don't have a favorite, other than the brand!
