How is it that I lived in Jacksonville (stationed there with the Air Force for a few years) and never saw that truck driving around? That thing would have caught my eye in about 2/10 of a second.
If you want some good info on the DT swap, I have a friend that's doing a 466 into a Travelette that he got from Arizona and drove all the way back to Pennsylvania. He's mentioned something about a 360 with a truck, but I don't remember where he is on all of his projects, or if that was even an IH truck. Might be one of his Fords. |

![]() IH was well ahead of there time. The Travelette aren't all to rare. The Wagonmaster is very rare as it was only made for a few years. Normally these things will vapor lock with a carb. The problem is the motor is so big that it fills the engine bay and under hood temps get hot and carb would get hot and vapor lock. Mine did it bad when I got it swapp'ed to EFI and no trouble now. |

He bought 2 DT360 from a IH guy in ohio when we were there. That's how I first found out about the 360, was I went with him to pick them up. He swapped on in is F250 the other he is selling. The Travelette is going to be NICE to say the least. |

I guess that explains why I never saw the truck then. I left Arkansas roughly 2 years ago at the end of 2014. |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
