Has anyone tried this actuator? Do you think it would be a direct replacement?

There have been some posts here about where to get a replacement e-lift. Probably our (admin team's) fault for not saving the posts in a thread somewhere for future lookers. I'd say that is about as close to the original as you can get. IIRC, Duff-Norton is the original manufacturer of the e-lift on the Cubs. If you buy it, please follow up with fitment and maybe some pics and I will try and save the thread in the "Parts" section or something.

here is a post from another forum about the CC lift.
But it is from 2001 I have a 147 with an Electric lift also. You can still get parts for the lift from Duff-Norton. They are the OEM for the lift. Here is a spec sheet on the lift http://www.duffnorton.com/guides/TMD500MP.pdf. and here is the link to their website. http://www.duffnorton.com/repair.asp They have autherized repair centers. It will cost $180 to completely rebuild and $280 for a brand new lift. |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
