I broke down my old Cub 1250 a while ago and never got back to it until recently. Ordered through the local CC dealer site (generic to all CC dealers I think) with delivery to store...took about 10 days. No big deal since I was waiting for the trunion repair piece from Xtreme anyway. I found a guy with a welder to do that part. He'll also look at adding some metal to the damper plate that was severely worn from the failing trunion (if he can add some metal I'll take care of the grinding and filing). The old thing might work when I'm done...might not...my wife has been telling me to get rid of it for years...at this point I compare it to shooting a life-long pet...I'm on a mission now! I need to get it back together because it's in the way of my next project...trying to get a 1965 JD 2020 back together.

I bought my cork gasket last year from a CNH dealer. Quick shipping, good price, works great. http://www.archboldequipment.com/adrianturf.htm

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
