Something don't look right below the seat and above the IH emblem for some reason.
![]() And as mentioned, ask all the question to the owner now before you buy it. Sure, it's his word, but at least it'll give you somewhere to start.

Zippy, you are correct, that panel with the I/H logo should go all the way across at the top. Looks like it was cut out for some reason. Hard to tell why without the seat being flipped up. I think there is an optional tool tray that bolts in uder the seat but I can't see one in the picture.

I really appreciate you guys. I don't know squat about these old IH. All I do know is I want one, and one that is right with all the bells and whistles. I haven't completely made up my mind this is the one I want? If not for you guys in the no, I am sure I would get robbed.

I kinda like the decals backwards. It's how a big tractor is. I don't like them so high though.
If you are happy then that's all that counts.

I don't think that's a cut-out on the back, that's the seat rest/tool box. It's just slid back as far as it can go. Aside from the decal mixup, looks like a nicely cared for machine.

The IH embossed hubcaps showed up around the same time as the 82 series tractors. But this came up before and I think the above was placed in question. Looks like maybe he has JD rear rims on it with the valve stems on the hub side? |

Here's another one for 800.00. It is a 122 with all the bells and whistles, headlights, spring assist and still has the reflectors on the fenders. It comes with a push blade, and all the attachments in the pictures. Now, which of these 2 would be the best for the $.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
