So I guess if the front PTO bearings were bad that could be a source of the vibration. If so, you could get some new bearings like this; http://www.onlycubcadets.net/forum/s...572#post369572 and rebuild it like this; http://www.onlycubcadets.net/forum/s...746#post191746 |

![]() It looks like there is a missing bolt here. Upon closer inspection, there is no hole to simply replace the bolt, as if the bolt head had sheared off at some point. I cant imagine what would have made that happen. I have a terrible video I made of it running that I will post later today. Thanks everyone for the replies so far. |

Here is a short video of it running. Like I said its a terrible video, but it shows some things like the driveshaft and the vibration that you can hear. |

Put the flashlight to it, and the bolt head is sheared off. Should be fun to get that out.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
