I removed the transmission from the tractor, and have a few broken teeth.
I have a 17/35 gear set ready for installation.
Hopefully everything will go smoothly.

Bad second gear in the aluminum trans is pretty common. Basic, simple trans to work on. Should be easy.... can't think of a simpler trans.

Default Mule belt help needed! PLEASE
Hi Cub fans. I have an issue with my 1211. It has a GT46 mower deck. The belt that it came with I discovered is to large and I cant get the mule tensioner any tighter. I have looked high and low for a stck belt number for this combo but have failed. The belt that was on it is 105" X 5/8. The 5/8 V seems correct but I need a belt thats maybe 4-6 inches shorter if my measuring is correct. My question is, Is there anyone here running this combo that could verify a belt number or size for me? I think 5/8 X 101" would work but would like to be sure before I start ordering belts .

I don't think the 1211 came with a GT46 deck so I doubt that the proper belt will be listed in the charts. I suggest that you take a piece of rope and run it around the pulleys and mark it where it overlaps. Then take the rope to your local Tractor Supply. They usually have a tool to measure belts length. Buy the 3 closest size belts, install what fits best and return the others. If the belt that you have is too long and of no use you can also cut it, run it around the pulleys to get a more accurate measurement then use a hose clamp to clamp the 2 ends together instead of the rope.

1211 same as 1811 but the motor is only different,1811 uses a 46gt deck belt is 954-3067 102"

I exchanged the broken gears and did a thorough flush of the trans and differential. Perhaps today I can reinstall the unit into the machine.

Looks like this thread has been hijacked.
