I know someone has done this before, and I looked all over for a fix in the archives and can't find one. Here's the question: "How do I fix this"? The frame I'm working on fell off the table (somehow) and landed on the brake pedal. The clutch/brake lever assembly broke off it's hub. I had removed the roll pin weeks ago hoping to take this all apart, due to rust buildup. I can't get the hub to move. Tried everything. Can I weld this back together?

I don't see why you couldn't weld it....probably going to need heat to remove the hub from the shaft.
An oxyacetylene torch would be best for heating it up, altho I did have success with a propane torch heating a three point hitch so I could remove the shaft that went thru it ..it only took half an hour of heating in that case..

isn't #11 cast iron, if so you will want to preheat it and use a nickel welding rod.

Thanks for the info Hillbilly. I tried heating it up with a small ox/prpn torch I use for smaller stuff, but no luck.

What model tractor is this? I can look on one of my junk frames and see if one of them has one that I could sell to you.

Heat it up red hot with a cutting torch, If it wont come let it cool then cut it off, if your good use the torch if not score it deep with a grinder and wack it with the hammer. The cast parts on a cub are cast steel Ive cut them with a torch and they blow right away, If they were iron they would only puddle.
Even a good methelated accetylene or mapp torch should heat that enough so it will almost slide off with a couple taps from the hammer!

It's a model 86 Matt. I've heated the collar, and the rod it's on separately and it moved maybe 1/16". I'm damaging the edges the more I hit it.

I agree, you didn't get that hot enough. You have to get it glowing red-hot.
