Correct me if I'm wrong, but can't you use the same bearing on the top of the steering column as the later front wheel bearing? Thinking that's what I put on my 1200.

Went to Tractor Supply, and picked up the bearing, for the upper column. Everything in the post on page one, matched up, right down to the lettering on the bearing. I just couldn't find the TSC number. So... I snapped a pic for those that might need a reference. Still the same price, too. Not bad after 5 years.

Foam gasket.
For some reason those parts are all cheaper at your (yes, gasp) John Deere dealer. The foam gasket is worthless unless you make sure the side plate is flat and the nut that holds it to the aluminum casting is adjusted properly. I only know this stuff because I've managed to break or wear out parts on several of these Ross steering boxes.
