I do not believe so?
I have a complete 1772, with the drive shaft it was born with (rag joints and noisy clutch). I have a CV style drive shaft from a 1864. I need whatever it takes to hook the 1864 drive shaft, to the Kubota engine and Cub rear end / hydro. The picture Sam posted, of (2) pcs, is what I believe I need? |

The other adapter is the splined adapter for the rear. Check out Cub123 post near the top of page 9. ( post 83 ) It shows both adapters. I'll start on the engine adapter for you. Jeff |

That is the spline for a rear PTO and it is a different size than the input.

Surplus Center has them too. http://www.surpluscenter.com/Power-T...ING-1-2985.axd
They are a 3/4 x 11 spline coupler that is bored out to 7/8 on one side and also has a hole for a pin but I don't remember the size of the pin. ![]() DSCN1125.jpg DSCN1128.jpg

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
