balance gears
i was just looking at an engine diagram and was looking for the balance gears, does a 77 1200 12 hp engine not have balance gears? i tore an early 70's 12hp off an economy powerking down and it had balance gears. of all the different models that used the ol iron horse, what is the standard of say balance gear to: year model, make of tractor, hp, application it will be used on? am i missing the obvious?

Didn't IH start putting balance gears in the 14HP starting with the 147? I don't know if they went back on the smaller engines on the wide frames and put them in or not.....
