I promise one day I'm going to know enough that I'll be able to contribute to the forum instead of just bug the crap out of everyone! :biggrin2.gif:

The only way to know, is to ask, ask and ask. That is what a forum is for. Dig around and start browsing every manual you can also

The decals are very high quality vinyl, really thick. The dash decal has some type of aluminum foil type mixed in with the vinyl, but it's not tin like the original.

The decals are a lot different than I thought they would be. On my 'O' when I got the decals they were the water based, press on and peel back. These are just a big peel and stick, I guess like car pin stripes...

JayBrd - the problem with me looking at all the manuals is that I start wanting all of them too. Once I started reading in a manual and discovered disk brakes... well, now I got a 127.

nikster,

I can't honestly tell you why, I was just told "to do it". My thought on it is, with several thing coats sanding between each one, you get an overall smoother finish for the top coat to get applied to.

It's like if you just spray one coat of primer, don't sand it, then spray your top coat you'll see all kinds of divots, rough spots, pinholes, air bubbles, whatever.

I've got a buddy who's a big muscle car buff/restorer and he's the one who insisted I do that. I kept telling him I just wanted something that looked decent, not a trailer queen. I'm glad I listened...

Now someone who knows what they are talking about can tell you why..

Here's a link that I read during the process. http://www.maddyhome.com/canardpages...kimcoating.htm

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
