well in a new round of disease in my house my oldest son brought home a nice stomach bug from school, he spent Friday throwing up and my 1yr old son spent sunday throwing up which really messed up some anniversary plans i had with my wife. i spent yesterday home throwing up and i spent today at home taking care of the kids because my wife got it, hopefully this is the last cold for a while.

That sucks Tim! We try to avoid things while we still can, we know once our girl is in school we're screwed. I had my daughter at the library Monday for story/song/playtime and I overheard a couple moms talking about their kids having a similar vomit bug over the weekend (and they still brought them knowing that! ). As soon as the stories and songs were over we washed hands and high tailed it outta there. The little one was not happy to be putting on a jacket as other kids were getting out bins of toys, but I wasn't chancing her playing with slobbery sick kids. I think that will be our last visit till spring, colds and kids (and irresponsible parents) are terrible.

My son goes to head start and we were told that as long as he's not throwing up to send him, I know they want to build there immune systems but when its one cold after another it just wears you out.

I agree Bill. Mine start getting sick as soon they go back to daycare in September, every stinkin year. Nothing wrong with them all summer when they are home with my wife, but literally the week they go back it starts. They have been through stomach bug, ear infections, strep throat, bronchitis, pink eye, the list goes on and on, and that's just in the last couple months. I have 2 humidifiers runnjng non stop, Vix on both every night, always trying to control the congestion because once that starts with them it's downhill from there and turns into something. Immune system strengthening is one thing but I think it's these day cares and irresponsible parents as stated that don't know when to keep the kids at home. We know not to go on vacation because we burn through the days with sick kids. Oh well, rant over. Love those little ones as always but it wears you out like Tim said with the chain reaction sickness anymore.

BTDT. Gotta love it when parents send the little germ bombs to school to share the misery.

Sorry to hear about your ailments Tim, hope it all passes soon. This past weekend we all went down to the Meadowlands in 'Jersy for the band competition. One brilliant couple sent little Johnny with a just confirmed case of mono. Kid was puking on a packed coach with 40 or so other kids and adults. So far there's at least a half dozen new cases just from that. Luckily I was driving the Freightliner.

My coworkers used to always say, " You don't know what sick is until your kids bring their germs home from school." Boy were they right ! In my germophobic ways, I've discovered a few things. The only thing that can stop the stomach bug from spreading to different family members is bleach or lysol sprays, and clorox makes a special wipe for stomach viruses. No standard clorox or lysol wipes work at all ! Everything must get sprayed down religiously.

I tried something new this time as I have come down with a head cold, that was magically spread to me from my kindergartner. 1 cup of wild blueberries, 2 spoonfuls of yogurt, 10 or so leaves of kale and spinach, mix in some pomegranate and orange juice, and throw in a tablespoon of ginger. Mix it up in the magic bullet or blender. Drink 1 time daily. This cut down my normal 10-14 day head cold to about 5 days. Good luck !

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
