3206 transaxle
Will a cast iron transaxle fit in a 3206 that has an aluminum housing rear end?
How much work involved to switch. I have a 3206 that suffered from the PO did not know how to use the diff lock and shattered the case. Thanks

It looks like your aluminum rear has the single disc brake like the cast rear does. I'm thinking yes, but I would look on parts tree at all the different linkages to make sure they are the same part number as the one you are looking at. What machine did the cast rear come from?

I don't have my parts machine handy to look a but am darn certain the mounting to the frame is different and I suspect frame rails are wider. Linkage is definitely different looking. Of course nothing is impossible with a welder. lol
