I marked this thread for removal. Kind of surprised the mods haven't done it yet. This site is supposed to be family friendly and we have dirty pictures on it and of wheels, nonetheless! Seems like there is enough smut out there that we do not need pictures of dirty things or talk about them in the forum.

An interesting mod and a solution to a common problem. Would be neater in cub colors, but funky to be kool like dat. Thanks for sharing this inexpensive solution. I like the steering wheel covers in the automotive section, but yours looks tighter and will probably last longer.

I would hope so, but I'm uneducated on actually practicing the art and have seen some dudes spend insane amounts of time elaborately braiding knife handles and stuff.

Anyhow. I think it looks cool and I actually like the green. All my cubs do is murder green (wallet and grass) so it seems legit to me.

When you have 14 month old triplets and trying to redo a cub you learn very quickly on what to spend money on and what not to for the cub. Later down the road I can always change the wheel out easy to do.

I made a chain steering wheel once because I couldn't find one and it wasn't to nice on the hands. I ended up wrapping electrical tape around the wheel and it didn't come off even after a couple years, id go that route so it matches better being black but the rope is nice to and ill keep that in mind, also helps when the wheels are old and turn your hands black.

Man, three 14 month old young-uns? Three?... Okay then, now I see where "TripleThreat" comes from. You are a patent man, can see how you could spend that much time wrapping a steering wheel

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
