Ok guys, quick question. What are the differences between Original fenders and fenders from say, a 100? I know that the brackets are different but are the fenders themselves pretty similar?

Yes they are both roundy!!!
The mounting holes are different between the two and so is the shape of roundiness.

they are not shaped the same? I found a really good deal on an original with fenders and I think I'm going to put the fenders from it on my 73 (via new mounts) until I can find the ones that should be on it.

ok, thanks! I really don't care if the differences are very small like the length of the sweep or something like that. like i said the deal is amazing and I'm not going to pass it up, just wanted to know if I could get away with it.

why not just keep the Original original and find some fenders that will fit your 70?
Got pics of the "O"

The O fenders usually bring more $$ than the fenders for a 7*/100 (7*=70 or 71 or 72 or 73). You could trade them to someone plus some cash (to you!) for a set for your 73. You should have around $50+ in your pocket out of the trade, but of course a lot of it depends on the shape of the fenders.
As collectors, and many of us are, we like it best when you keep parts as original as possible. Darkminion_17 is correct that you should be able to find a set to fit your needs quite easily and many people would jump at the chance to make the swap. Cub Cadet 123

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
