Thanks J-Mech. Had a bet with the wife you'd make some sort of negative comment about the green paint before the week-end. You're so predictable!

Well if you were the first to paint one green we should drag you to the town square and throw rocks at you, but half of the green ones at garden tractor pulls have Cubs under the green sheet metal.
Doesn't take away from your fine work though, it looks great.

That would make those old shakers smooth, with newer engines
George,
I had wondered the same thing... A vanguard or command in a 1450/1650 and still get the side panels on? Anybody tried it?

Terry,
I agree... most all the other colors at the tractor pulls have cub mechanicals underneath! They don't like to talk about it though!

I was just wondering as the V twins are narrower than the opposed K's/Magnums series, just a curiosity that's all.
iI's ok if no one has an experience with one.

Looks like the side panels won't fit , and the hood brace and fuel tank won't work either.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
