Went in today for my third and final treatment Again no numbing meds. I said to him I would prefer he numb up the ear first, but they only do it the first time because that's when they cut the slit to let out the pleasure. OK!
iT'S DONE, so that's all that matters. Now wait for three months and go back for another hearing test and see what we have. Three months is the magic number. If anything at all is going to come back, it should be back by then. (the average)
The hearing test today before the treatment went well.... her name was (Lori)anyway, she said there was a slight improvement on the test compared to the last one. Nothing I would notice, but on the test graph it showed a slight improvement but not enough that a hearing aid would be beneficial. But I'll take any improvement at this point.....Now we wait.
So that's it you all. Thanks for listening, the thoughts and prayers

Went for my last Dr. appointment to recheck my hearing. It's been three months since my last office visit, and I guess that's the magic number, nothing usually gained after that....
After the hearing test, there still isn't any improvement to speak of. So the way it sounds, unless there is a miracle some time down the road, it's going to be what it is. Deaf in my left ear.
Going to check into a hearing aid that takes sound from the left side and transfers it to the right ear. It's wireless between the two. So from what I understand is I will need to have a hearing aid in each ear, but only my right will will pick up the sounds, which will be kind of difficult to get used to according to the hearing tech.
But the bright side, at least while talking with someone on the left side, I won't have to turn around to hear them.
She said that 50% of the people that get them don't like them, so they don't use em'. We'll see I guess.

We are all still hoping and praying for you!!

I have a friend that lost hearing in one ear due to a virus in his ear.. he has learned to get along with it very well.. He says the best thing is when his wife yells at him he can plug one ear to tune her out.. leaves the other hand free for other things!

Thanks,
Yup, it's the ear that's on her side in bed, but then I get the same question over and over until I respond. So it still never ends

Zip,
I have constant ringing in my ears from a lifetime of loud noise.
Simply explained high pitch sounds don't happen for me.
Tinnitus they call it.
In a noisy environment like a store/factory or sporting event, normal conversation is difficult to hear, I tell ppl I don't hear to well and look @ me so I can hear you.
It works and I then don't have much of a problem, I don't read lips per say, but it sure helps looking @ their lips, so it is kind of the opposite of no hearing but similar.
You learn to deal with it.
Only real problem I have it talking to an amply endowed lady,---I can't seem to focus on her lips Ha,LOL!

Its to bad the treatments didn't work out, my hearing in my right ear comes and goes and I know how you feel. I can't say that it's all bad, when my wife is sitting in the passenger seat and running her mouth I can't really hear it.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
