Wow, you had a really good day today--a great friend and great tractor for that four-letter f-word I like to hear, "FREE"! Another one found a good home and will soon get the TLC it needs. Keep us posted on your progress on it. Was the IH blade part of the deal, too?

Yes, he is like a son to me. What is on the trailer, was the whole deal. It will be some time till I get to this one as I have 2 others to do. A 125 and another 105. When I get done I'll have two 125's and two 105's, three decks and two plows. Will I be ready for winter and summer or what? Oh,and I have a green one with a deck too.

Free is always good. When you have to put money in them, you don't need to consider an investment first.

It IS good to be retired, but I have found retirement to be hard work.

Great score on the free 105 and blade. That's my favorite series of Cubs.

Way to go on the 105! Nice save! You'll have that thing up and running as it should be.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
