Does anyone know if a ported hydro pump off a 149 will fit on a 682?

Thank you very much! It should be a direct swap correct?

As far as I know, yes. All the pumps a pretty much the same. I have found ( in my hours on parts tree and in the service manuals ) there are some small difference. But those two should swap fairly easily. I have a thread going in the ccc section showing the disassembly of a hydro pump. After seeing what was in mine and finding out it is not as difficult as I thought, I would recommend doing the same. Disassemble, clean, replace seals, check bearings, and replace gaskets.

Thanks for all the help. I think i'm going to pick up the pump and maybe someday I will use it on the 682. I will definitely check out the disassembly thread.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
