This is a good series truck. I have an '07 that has been flawless since new. Of course, I never drive it, only 61K miles. My son had an '06 six cylinder that he put a lot of miles on, no problems at all.

Yes those were good motors.
Wife threw some change in the truck to make the cooties go away.

Ray,

200,000 and the oil always never went down between changes,every 3000 mi.
I did 3 tranny services on it,drained the torque converter too,not sure if you can do that on a 08.Takes a lot of fluid to refill it that way.

I'd love to get me a new truck too. That one looks like it can haul a bunch of IH related stuff.

Nice pickup, Lew. Here's some info, why they call it a pickup.

Trivia...

Ford, who made the first pick-up trucks, shipped them to dealers in crates that the new owners had to assemble using the crates as the beds of the trucks.
The new owners had to go to the dealers to get them, thus they had to "pick-up" the truck.

And now you know the "rest of the story"

Navistar, not IH. Now if they had jammed the DT360 in a Ford, that would have been something! (DT360 was a IH motor.)
