Please Clarify?
Besides the axle housing changing over to aluminum and a couple cosmetic differences, are there going to be any real Quality issues in a model 682 IH vs. a 682 CCC? A lot of times I see people complain and say its not as good cause its not IH built, they couldn't have dropped off quality wise that much could they?? Thanks

Outside of changing to an aluminum rear, they are the exact same machine. People who say they aren't as good because they are CCC built are just running their mouth. Same machines.
(There are some other very minor changes too.)

The ccc version has a series 2 kt17 also.

Just my opinion but when IH sold cub cadet the quality did continue for a while. Actually I feel the quality continued pretty much through the Super series of the mid 90s. That is where I and most others agree the quality fell off quickly. I have no experience with the 682 series but would not be too concerned about the degradation of quality of that series.

Some of the Aluminum vs Cast Iron rear end debates hinges on the issue of "rear mounted" implements.
It is considered a good practice to install beefed up supports when attaching a Brinly plow (as an example) to an Aluminum rear. If rear end implement is not a factor for you, then there is no difference.
