I have power to C And with the switch off it'll transfer over to D to the starter, so that works. I have power to F also. I do not have anything at A. Which leads me to believe that either the PO reverse switch deal is screwing something up or the relay is not switching properly and energizing A after start up.
I plan to check pin 5 of the relay to see if it's energized after start up. If it is, that implies that the problemishes lies between pin 5 and pin A on the PTO switch Both 720 and up and 719 and below are on the wiring diagram page I provided a few posts ago. |

When you are testing terminal "A" on the PTO switch, IF the relay is not holding/working, you will only have power on the "A" terminal when the PTO switch is in the "Start" position. Does the "A" terminal have power when the switch is in the "Start" position? If so, the problem is either in the reverse switch, or the relay. Should only take a couple more simple tests to determine where the issue is.

Well, I narrowed it down to the relay.
we got 5" of snow today, I fired her up and cleared off the driveway. While I was backing it into the garage... pop and some smoke...engine bit the dust...hole in the block. What a bummer. I must of had a small oil leak and it was blowing it out from somewhere. When the snow started to melt I could see the oil drops all over the driveway. I don't have the time to put into motor work so off to Craigslist it goes. I learned a lot from the help here. I greatly appreciate your enthusiasm for these machines. Thanks, Dustin |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
