Geeze that service manual is huge, says it all. Thanks Sam!
The site link above will work. All I have to do is uncover the deck again and get the serial number. Might you have a wide frame dozer manual? I think the implement manuals will ease the pain, removing the frames, installing same.

Grandsons are waitin' to dozer with "their" Cubbie.
Not yet, we're still workin' on the Cub. The Cub is driving fine and the hydraulic lift works great. Sorry, no dozer blade...........yet. The help from y'all, 'specially Sam the Sham, is great. That's how the lift lever was fixed. Snow today, had to push it away. I hesitate to say "plow" 'cause I think of the old days, dig earth = plow. Push snow, dirt, gravel, dozer. Does that make sense or am I just old fashioned? We had to push snow today, 'bout 6". Was easy enough but the boys are chanting, "Cub Cadet....Cub Cadet....Cub Cadet." ![]() Grandson on an '85 416-8. One cylinder 16 hp Kohler. A great Horse.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
