Default 122 grill on a 105?

Hello everyone just curious if a grill out of a 122 will fit on a 105? I can get one for cheap.

Short answer is NO, not directly. They each have a different mounting system.

But that being said, if you have the skills anything can be made to work.

I don't know if you are referring to the whole cast iron grill shell or just the grill insert itself,,,,,,
Here is a pic of what I did. I put a grill insert from a 71 (same as a 122) into a 106 (same as a 105) grill shell. I think I had to cut a little off the top or bottom to make it fit. I think I also drilled a couple holes in the cast iron shell on the bottom for the uprights to fit into. I secure it with zip ties. I used a 100 headlight panel decal. I like the look better than the original way.

Tim, just curious what kind of wheels are those on the rear??

And I checked out your picture album and love them all. Great work!

Thanks for the compliments.
Ironman,, Those rear wheels on the 106 are,(I think) wheels from an early Dodge Caravan, 14x6. The bolt pattern was cut out ,then reversed and welded back in. That gave me a lot of positive offset.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
