Ahem. It's a Walbro.
Ryan is that walbro adjustable? Here's something i've found out about the mag 18 i have in a 582. Thought i had a bad fuel pump, hi oil level, new looking pump. Bypassed pump,hi oil level. I use gas shutoff all the time. Not happy after a few oil changes. I found that after starting and running the hi oil level goes away. I think the oil filter is draining into the sump after shutoff. Granted i have not been in this carb but it is adj. This motor came from a Roper. I do have an adj carb from a series 1 for when the need arises. Mike

Nope, this isn't the adjustable one. I'm sure it'll work ok, I just prefer to be able to adjust things if need be. I had a pair of 1811's at one point, one with a Walbro and one with a Carter. The one with the Carter always seemed to start and idle easier. I went over that Walbro twice and didn't seem to help. At one point I swapped carb's just to see what would happen and the ease of starting and idling followed the carb. That's why I prefer the Carter, but that's just this Cub Guy's opinion

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
