Default Cub Cadet 105

Hi everyone. Picked this up last night, the motor runs great and purrs like a kitten. The guy threw in a mule drive but not sure what it's off of. Hydrostatic transmission works great light don't work but they will probably be replaced or rewired. Break pedal has been replaced with some kind of square tubing. I'll post more pics later. Hope the pic shows up.

Good job.
I saw that and was going to go get it but I talked myself out of it. I really should do more with the 8 cubs I have. I actually have been thinking about selling a couple but that's difficult for me to do. I've never sold one over the 30 years I've gathered them.
That was an awesome price to boot. The engine is worth more than you paid. Good score.

Thanks guys. I'm taking my sleeve hitch off my 70 and I'll put it on the 105 for now. The motor sounds great. Just curious where can I get a plastic knob for the throttle lever? The PO has some kind of washer combo on it.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
