Default Discontinued parts

Where does everyone get parts that are no longer being manufactured? I broke a control release arm while taking my 106 apart and after about 3 months of hunting for a new one I've decided to just CNC machine a new one off of a casting that I made from the old one.

There are sponsors listed at the top of the page. They can usually hook you up with parts. If not, there's evil-pay, local mower "graveyards". Or, like your doing..... make them. Good used us usually the cheapest option, but there are just some parts that you just can't find easily. The one you broke doesn't sound like it should be hard to find at all if I understand what you are talking about....

The part I've been trying to find is #15 in this breakdown.

Oh yeah. The sponsors will have that. Put up a wanted ad in the "for sale section" someone on here may even have one to part with. That shouldn't be hard to get at all.

I appreciate the offer and next time I need a part I'll be sure to post it on here before I go through all the trouble that I have been through making a casting already. Live and learn right.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
