Jonathan, I know the man who sold you the remains of the 2072. I talked to him while he was loading it to deliver it to you. He said that all he wanted was the 60" Haban deck and after selling the engine and tractor, he had a grand total of $23.00 in the deck.
Sounds like everyone made out quite well!

Seems like a good trade off. I can put five Cubs where one car sat and there are no titles or license to fool with!

Yeah, as we were unloading that I mentioned your first name...... He goes you don't mean (your last name) do you? I said yes.... he goes "I've known him for years!!!" LOL. Small world huh?! I think he made out better than me, he had less in the deck than I do in the tractor and I think between the two, the deck is worth more!! LOL!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
