The only reason that I can think of, for using something different, would be because sadly things are not made as well as they were in 1966. Todays "OEM" parts are a shadow of the quality they once were. Now, if you could find some oem new old stock from back then, now that would be a reason to stick with it. Still though, I agree that the oem stuff offered by cub today may be better quality than some aftermarket parts. I guess you have to figure that its all made in china these days, so its a crap shoot most of the time. I'm just glad stuff is still available at all for these old machines! Thanks, TB

This is what I went with I figured for $130 for all oem parts I couldn't go wrong.
