Default Parts Manual???

New to the site and new to owning a Cub Cadet. I have a late '90's model AGS 2160 that I just purchased from a gentleman that is in great condition. He was needing to get rid of it so purchased it for $400. Heck of a bargain.

I have been looking online without success for a parts manual that I can print off to have around.

Like I said it is an AGS 2160 series 2000 model # is 135-266-100. It came with a 48" LT deck model 301190.

Wondering if anyone might have a printable parts list for this model or could steer me to one on the internet?

Thanks
Brad

Try the link below. Copy and paste your model number you supplied in the top box and put your serial number in the bottom. For the most part, it will bring up an entire listing of everything for your machine. They are available in pdf format so you can save them to your computer and print off if you would like, free of charge. Hope this helps. If you need any help, P.M. me.

Brad

Just a heads up on the 2160 AGS. It is not a hydro, it has a 6 speed gear box and a forward and a reverse wet clutch. Pick the speed you want to use and then hold the forward or reverse pedal all the way down. If you let it slip it will toast the clutch packs.

Yep have already been told that. I have a gentleman I go to church with that works on Cub Cadets and he told me to just pick a gear and smash it. Thanks for the heads up though.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
