Default 682/782 Sleeve Hitch Lift Bar

I have a lift bar the guy gave me when I bought my 782. I believe the bar is for a 682. My question is if I straighten the bend out of it, will it be the right length to work on my 782?

Does any one know the correct length of the 782 lift bar

Travis,

That bar is a WF bar. Yes, if you straighten the bar out then it should work on your 782.
If someone doesn't get you the measurements I should be able to when I get home from work today.

Thanks, Mike! I just want to be sure it will work before I straighten it. I think it's NOS. It was zero wear on it: biggrin2: I don't want to screw up a perfectly good part.

Mike, is that end to end, or hole to hole? This one is more like 27-1/4" end to end. It is 26-1/8" from the farthest part of each hole to hole, tho.

Each hole is 9/16" from the end of the bar.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
