Great ideas on the mule & idler pulleys, guys. I sometimes wondered why those bearings were not able to be relubed.
Could those have been made like the spindles; hollow shaft with a grease zerk, or are the shafts for those too small in diameter for hollow shaft and zerk? HMMMMMMmmmm.

If you have rubber seals instead of metal shielded bearings, a needle injector that goes on your grease gun works great. I generally lube them in 3-4 places. I don't pierce the seal, just wedge the needle between the seal and the inner race usually. You should be able to pick one up for less than $10. I got my last one from a tractor dealership. Napa may carry them also.
