Default Misleading E-bay Ad..

I wrote the guy and explained that without the creeper holes in the frame/gear reduction housing, it could not be a 1963 original--unless they were welded shut. However, the cam cut in the dash tower is either from a 1962 or 1963 original. He/she sent back and said that they got it from the original owner who said that it was a 1963. Go figure....

You can't argue with ignorance, for they will always win because they beat you by attrition.

His most recent message stated that he put bolts in those holes.

I will Jonathan, but I think we'uns is a feudin' cause I have contacted him multiple times and probably steamed his clams. I have a notion to buy it and then refuse to accept it for misrepresentation.....nah, not when he has that mysterious rod hooked up to the 3 point and the spring assist collar around the implement lift, but no spring assist on it. Better you let me know when you land it.

Original 8 hp engine? Is that a '63 only feature? I thought mine had a later replacement 8hp, glad to know its original. HaHa

Jonathan, I'll replace the head gasket in mine, heck I'll even paint it if you want it for $1,200. Tell you what, since you got the Lew club jacket you can have it for $899.

That's funny Bill! I guess I should have been more specific. I wouldn't pay that much for it, but it beats the heck out of the prices I/we've been seeing people want for their tractors! And lets not lie, all of us would hope to get that much for an "O"! Honestly though that cart looks good! I would pay the $300 for it if I wanted one. I've seen ones in original condition bring $250, so $300 isn't bad. Could probably drive over and talk him down. Noble is only about 35-40 miles from me.

Wow I just realized bidding has it up to $1262.00. That's pretty steep. Looks like he edited the motor size on the bottom. Nice tractor though. Not to be picky but isn't the s/g supposed to be yellow also instead of black?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
