I finally got a creeper for my 126. It was no problem to install. I thought that this would be a good time to install the 3 point IH lift. It installed easily and worked correctly. The tractor is all back together and I tried to install the quick attach hitch for my mower deck. This is where I ran into trouble. The lift handle binds now as the pieces of the two hitches hit.
![]() ![]() I've circled the two pieces that touch. Has anyone else had this problem. Is part # 3 possibly from a different tractor. I took it from a narrow frame, but all I could tell was that it had a 10hp Kohler. The dash tower, seat, fenders and foot rests were missing. Without the mower hitch attached, the 3 point works correctly. Any suggestions would be appreciated. |

Part #3 in the second picture goes between the lift handle and the frame rail (on the right of the lift handle) not toward the middle of the tractor.
The "fork" on the subframe, goes toward the middle of the tractor (to the left of the lift handle). Not sure if this is any help, or if it's even where your problem is. Good Luck. |

The fork was to the right of the handle when I bought the tractor and I've been putting it back there when I removed and installed the hitch. I couldn't find a picture of how it was supposed to go. It is all installed and working now. Thanks.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
