Sorry about jackin up my post by putting it in the wrong spot. Like I said, I'm new and don't wanna create a buncha waves, just lookin for a lil help is all.

Using J-Mech's pic......

I put the Valve handle (6) back into the valve handle assy (4) which is attached to the chain link (5) but now I cant get the valve handle lever (6) to move at all, it won't lift or lower. I did notice I am missing the valve handle bushing (8) and the retaining ring (9), but even then I don't know if I have it assembeled correctly even if I had them.

I greatly appreciate the help, Been tryin to get this 1450 back together, I'm almost there....I can smell the victory......I just can't see the finish line.

I was hoping that someone had actual pics of how the valve handle, valve lever handle assy are put together.

Again thank y'all for your help in advance

Whaat, ...is the spool stuck in the valve? If Ya got everything back together and it won't move, that's about the only thing it could be.

Make sure the exposed part of the spool is clean, not rusty or anything. Soak it down with some WD-40 or like product and tap lightly while working the lever back and forth. Will the spool turn in the valve body with the link removed?

You do have just a single valve and not a dual set-up, correct?
Ya gotta tighten down the squeeze clamp really tight to keep the handle from spinning.
Best to use a grade 5 bolt to keep from busting it and your knuckles. You may have to widen the gap some if it has been stretched too far and is completely closed w/the bolt tight.

If Ya need a bushing and snap ring, I have some

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
