DWayne, When was that published? I'm assuming several years after they were new, say '80's?

I think it was published around 2003 or 2004 due to the fact I can get the MSRP prices all the way up to 2003 but only goes back to 1977.

That would explain the looooow trade-in values.

BTW why did the weight of a 1450 go down 105 pounds from 1977 to 1978? Now that I look at it they all went down. Why?

Someone may be able to correct me, but I think somewhere along the line some cast iron on the Cubs got changed over to aluminum. Possibly the axle tubes and maybe a couple of other things, such as the top nose piece on the hood.

The Cub Cadets lost weight hibernating over the winter....

At some point, IH did make the switch to some aluminum parts; the upper nose piece was one of them. I'm not sure what else was changed.

I may be wrong but the first reference to aluminum tranny/axle housings was in 1983 The change from metal front and side panels to plastic was I believe was in 1990 with the intro of the cyclops series tractors.
