So someone broke an axle of a 782 and put a free sign on it? Dumb move on their part; lucky for you! Glad you snagged it.

I am very lucky to have it as I have checked Craig's List here in north Texas and I have only seen one 82 series in the last few years and it was a 682.I will have to rely on you members for support as not many Texans speak "Cub". Still working on the house so I may not have updates for a few weeks. Thank you for the kind words and God bless.

Just love these kinds of drive by finds & free to top it off.
![]() They are out there, like my # 109 & 122(which i sold) 127 & 1250, but not free but didn't get raped on a price. Boy I just dream of finding a bid red sitting in someone's yard or a nice diesel? ![]() NIK,

It amazes me what people will get rid of. As I was loading it, the wife was leaving and said "By all means, take it." and their son was watching me load it and said" Mom told dad to get rid of that junk!" I assume the dad was inside. I also found out that my used shop lights I bought for the garage did not work. I found a nearly new light by the street yesterday and took it home. Wired it up and it works great. I try to fix every thing. When the Cub is done I will try my hand at building a box blade. I will need that to keep my driveway smooth in the country.

I got my 782 for the same price.
![]() It cost me $0 to get it reliable and rolling. I had it about 4 months. To date..Total $$ put into the tractor is the cost of Hydra filter, gasket and fluid. Everything else was TLC to get it running reliable Gotta Love it This is my first delve into the Cub world as well. Good Luck!!!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
