Dog-gonit,I get home Friday, park the truck and go inside thinking Ill make some coffee, turn the faucet and nothing.Frozen pipes,I get them thawed and find out a few are busted. So instead of wrenching on the cub today (Saturday) I will be laying under the house in very cold mud.I suppose if there is a silver lining, imagine what it would have been like under there if they had thawed out on their own.A small lake Im sure and untold damage.Oh well such is life and next Saturday will be here soon enough.

I got the water lines on the house repaired today and figured I would spend a little time on the 1200.I got started by washing the front axle.It wouldn't come clean and I got aggrevated and said enough is enough.Ive been needing to do this for quiet some time. Not going to proceed with the repairs any further until I get these set up and this disaster area I call my shop cleaned up.I just can't stand to be looking for a wrench and having to hunt around for it.Gotta get thing reorganized and then back on the cub,but too tired to do anything else for today.Getting old just stinks sometimes.

Glad to hear you got your pipes fixed! Not fun in this kind of weather.

Well I came home Friday and when I was driving up to the house I noticed alot of water around the shop.I kinda figured what the problem was but was hoping I was wrong.Nope busted water line this time in the shop.It had run for 3 days but the excess water ran out under the roll up door with little damage to the shop itself.Gonna be one heck of a water bill though.Well I got that repaired and somewhat got things organized and put away and thought I would try my hand at sand blasting. After a little bit I discovered what a mess this stuff makes and had to stop. Also discovered that the moisture filters currently on my compressor are not adaquate for sand blasting. If they wont do the job for blasting then I don't want to chance it with painting so I will have to upgrade the filters.I was also able to get some parts soaking to get rid of that old caked on grease. Also was wondering if someone may know of a way to fix old serial number plates.

I changed out the 3/4" spindles to 1" and got some super front wheels. The tires are 18x850x8's.The 16x650x8's just looked too small with the 26x12x12 rears and it sat down too much in the front with the 16's.Its sits alot more level this way.I have just got to get these small but important bugs solved so I can get things underway.I really need to build a blasting cabinet for the small parts but I think I will just remove them and get it done this time and build the blasting cabinet sometime in the future.Adaquate filters for the compressor I just found out will cost around 150.00.Always something.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
