Default 125 is ready for snow.

Today was a busy day. Ordered many parts for various tractors of mine. To start off, I picked up a very nice deck for our original and a hood from a 147 for a decent price.(If anyone wants it PM me) The man we bought it from had some very nice tractors and I wouldn't be surprised if he was on here. I ordered things from OCC sponsors that ranged from a generator starter for an original to quietline mounts and much more!
But now to what the Title implies, The man who I bought the deck from gave me a woodruff key that fit just perfect! So today I put everything back together. Before it would wobble and eventually wear the crankshaft away and I didn't want to take apart an engine that runs fine. But it runs great now and Now all I have to do is take it off and either trim or get one shorter. I'll keep you posted.

Update: I finally finish up the PTO and put on the snowthrower! It spins and engages right. Now I just need to test it on fresh snow. None in the forecast yet. I'll post some pictures soon! Thanks for all your help guys!

Yeah, I'll have to make the rest of the tractor look good. Just to clear thing up it was restored a long time ago and was just hardly used.
Here's a picture. I put a new bronze push button and rebuilt the PTO. The basket pulley shredded the old crusty caked S/G pulley so I have to steal one an some other parts from the old 125.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
