With some tinkering, the 1450 has gotten some good use and what started this 'tribbles' - like phenomena. But alas, it must go.... (I happened to get it from a guy in CT).
Im impressed. It did take until the 4th post before the suggestion to keep them all..... But one is all. Cant stand to see them sit outside and rot, would rather fix them up a bit and pass them along to be used. |

The suggestions to keep the 782 and not the 784 confuse me. A 784 IS a 782 with dual front outlets..... Why would you guys not suggest he keep it?
![]() If you can only keep one, I'd keep the 784. ![]() |

Its yellow/white, NOT red. A '100' series S/N. Interesting that no votes for the 169. A very practical bunch here. |

784 is not a IH CC. Regardless of what it has, I'm sure it's great in it's own right, but if it's not IHC it's not worth keeping IMO.

What does make the most sense to me, is what I would like to do most with any one of these tractor choices. If I had my choice, given the current information thus far, I don't believe I would pass on that 784. The usefulness attracts me the most, providing any given cost for any repairs between the choices.
Well, have fun and good luck, happy new year all!

My opinion is that you have to pick the tractor that you like the best, then add the components to make it run the attachments that you need.
The hardest part for me (where we live) is, one day we will be moving snow and a few days later the grass will need to be cut, or we will have multiple projects going on at the same time (putting in garden, cutting grass, or whatever) I'm getting too old and broken down to be changing attachments back and forth all the time. In any event, good luck with your decision.

You can't keep only one cub!
![]() 1-Keep the 784 with deck and blade 2- Transfer the cab from the 169 on the 1650, transfer the dual hydraulic from the 1450 on the 1650 , install the QA42A. 3-Sell the 1450 and the 169 and live a good life. Happy new year ![]()

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
