Default Creeper Gear Advice to Buy

I think I am ready to pop the $$$ for a creeper gear to go in my 122. I see a few on Ebay. Any advice??? Looks like I can get one for around $200. Anything I should be concerned about? Condition / Wear signs ?
I think I am getting addicted to looking at everyone's posts.

Being that you can't actually see and hold the unit online, there isn't really much to say. Look at the pics, and try to get a good one. A 122 is a NF with a tall tunnel, so you need a creeper with the right handle. Counting the creeper for the "O", and the later creeper for the aluminum trans, I think there are 3 different housing styles, and 3 handle styles for the creeper for the steel housing gear drives. Make sure you are looking for the one that fits. Post a link to one you are looking at if you need advice.

You want to inspect the condition of the shifter yoke. It's an internal part, so you can't inspect it without having the creeper in hand. You can ask the seller if the yoke is "stepped", you'll have to trust the seller to be honest about it's condition. If the yoke is worn, the creeper has to be disassembled to replace it. Here's a pic of a worn yoke, and of the worn yoke next to a new one.

I just got a creeper myself for 180.00 shipped -had alot of questions but the seller was very knowledgeable and was very reassuring when it came to the integrity of the unit. No complaints yet other than I'm waiting for some snow to use it!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
